About Us

Bonsall West Elementary opened in 2005 and is located in the western section of the district in Oceanside, CA.  We currently serve over 380 TK - 6th grade students.  The school includes a wide diversity of children and has developed educational programs designed to provide academic excellence and support for all students.  The dedication of Bonsall West Elementary School's staff, parents, and community to their students has resulted in high test scores and well prepared students who "Dream Big and Ride With Pride."

To our new Colt families, I welcome and encourage you to be an active participant in your student's educational experience.  Please consider joining the Parent Teacher Association, attending school events, reading our weekly newsletter for regular updates and inquiring about other opportunities in which you may be able to participate with our school community.  I look forward to the start of another amazing year!

BUSD Intersessional Days 2023-2024

The program is facilitated by the Boys and Girls Club and is located at the Bonsall Elementary School Campus. The hours are 7:00 am - 4:00 pm and will begin in January 2024.

BUSD 2023-2024 Extended Care Registration Online through 6Crickets

Registration for extended care (formally daycare), which operates before and after school, will open August 1st, at 8:00 AM. Registration is ONLINE and not in person for the 2023-2024 school year. Use the BUSD Expanded Learning w/ 6Crickets link found on the school webpage and attached flyer to register your child. Please be aware the link to register will not go live until 8am on August 1st. We are excited to begin the 2023-2024 school year!
