Homework
Students will have Math, Reading, and Spelling homework nightly (Mon-Thurs).
Occasionally there will be Science or Social Studies HW, usually related to a
project being completed or in preparation for a quiz or text.
Nightly Reading HW is as follows:
Mon. - Read for 30 minutes and write 5 complete sentences summarizing what you read.
Tues. - Read 30 min. and write 5 sentences predicting what you think will happen next and why.
Wed. - Read 30 min. and find 5 new or interesting vocabulary words and write their meanings.
Thurs. - Read 30 min. and draw a picture of a scene you can visualize from tonight's reading.
Nightly Spelling HW:
Mon. - Write each word from this week's list 3 times each (in cursive).
Tues. - Place this week's words in ABC order (in cursive).
Wed. - Choose 10 words from your list and write a complete sentence for each word (in cursive).
Thurs. - Have your parent/guardian give you a pre-test with your word list and sign it.

Math HW: Math will be assigned daily based on the lesson covered in class each day. Work must be
shown in order for me to accept it as being complete.
