Students will have homework Monday through Friday. Homework is checked and graded for completion but is given an effort grade on the report card.

Reading: AR read 30 minutes nightly
*If students didn't finish their class work/center work from the week, it will be sent home as homework on Thursday nights to be completed and returned Friday morning. Reaading grade can be affected by not completing this packet because it is class work.

Grammar: (Tuesdays)

Spelling:
Mondays: Write missed words from Pretest 5xs each. If they received 100% on pretest, they have no spelling homework on Monday and should have received a modified list for the rest of the week.
Tuesdays: write all words in A,B,C Order
Wednesdays: pick 10 spelling words and write 10 "grade level" sentences using them correctly
Thursdays: Practice Test, signed by parent who gave the test. Write any missed words 5xs each on the back of the paper


Social Studies and Science: typically there will not be work sent home for these subjects unless class work wasn't completed. There will be a Mission Project, as well as a Science Experiment project assigned this year. These are home projects to be completed by the student, but parents may assistance. Work must be in students own writing or typed.

Please have students log onto portal and use Compass Odyssey and JiJi regularly from home as well.
